Immerse yourself in the charm of Cullera, where tradition, landscapes and outdoor activities combine to offer an unforgettable experience. Here are five must-sees to make the most of your visit:
1. Visit Cullera Castle: Start the day exploring this iconic castle when temperatures are cooler. Perched high on the mountain, it offers an immersion into the town's history. Tour its towers and courtyards while enjoying spectacular views of the Mediterranean, the Albufera and the river Júcar. They will allow you to contextualise the rest of the visit.
2. Stroll through the Albufera Nature Reserve: From the castle, head towards the Albufera Nature Reserve (15-20 minutes by car). Walk through the rice fields, observe the local fauna and visit the Marenyet Tower by the river Júcar, which combines history and nature.
3. Explore the Cullera Lighthouse: Located in a natural setting, the Cullera Lighthouse is a peaceful place to stroll around while enjoying the sea views. The area has nearby coves, such as Playa del Faro, perfect for a swim in crystal clear waters. Make the most of midday to visit the lighthouse and its surroundings.
4. Taste the local gastronomy: Cullera is famous for its rice dishes. You can't leave without trying an authentic Valencian paella or typical dishes such as arroz a banda or all i pebre, available in restaurants in the town centre or near the seafront promenade. We recommend eating at the lively urban beach of San Antonio, which we'll tell you more about below.
5. Relax on San Antonio beach: This urban beach of fine sand is perfect for a day of sun and sea. With numerous services such as beach bars, restaurants, showers and leisure areas, it is ideal for both families and those looking for a place to enjoy the Mediterranean. Its central location makes it very accessible both on foot and by car from other areas of Cullera.
